Session Summary: Toyota has fourteen manufacturing sites and over thirty non-manufacturing sites across North America. Jesse Daniels walks you through what Toyota is doing to streamline data collection for critical equipment. He will also demonstrate how VTScada is being used to support the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050.

More About Jesse – Jesse was born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Army Reserves as a medic. He attended the University of Kentucky where he graduated with a degree in Biosystems & Agriculture Engineering. Jesse started with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky (TMMK) in 2014 as a co-op with Environmental & Facilities and completed a total of 3 rotations. In 2016, he started full-time with TMMK Environmental as an Engineering Specialist, responsible for hazardous and non-hazardous waste as well as the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) program. In 2018, Jesse transitioned to Facilities at TMMK in Project & Plant Services where he was responsible for leading plant projects related to building expansions/modifications, roadway design, and external site safety. Jesse transferred to Environmental & Facilities – Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) in 2021, where he worked as a Senior Engineer – CO2 & Cost Reduction. He was responsible for energy data collection, consolidation, and analysis for manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites. In 2022, Jesse was promoted to Engineering Manager – Plant Operations in Environmental & Facilities at Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia (TMMWV). In West Virginia, Jesse worked with Facilities Engineers & Maintenance to optimize the efficiency of their Facilities systems: chilled water, compressed air, HVAC, sanitary, fire system, and roofs. Most recently, Jesse joined the Manufacturing & Spare Parts (MSP) departments as an Engineering Manager where he will have responsibility for setup and verification of spare parts for manufacturing plants located in Alabama, West Virginia, North Carolina, Kentucky, and Indiana.
