Helping Farmers Sustainably Manage Methane from Manure
SustainRNG, a developer of renewable natural gas projects, sought to help farmers more sustainably manage manure. They contracted Victory Advisory Services to develop a solution combining Executive, Reporting, Operations, and IT using VTScada as the treatment plant operation and system management backbone.
- Executive – Team member dashboards leveraging Grafana via SQL tags from VTScada.
- Reporting – VTScada distributes compliance and production reports for departments.
- Operations – Uses VTScada as the single source of truth and system to manage plant operations and critical alerts.
- IT – VTScada manages operations and plant assets while leveraging Microsoft and Azure to protect IT Systems via Microsoft’s edge and user authentication services (including dual-factor authentication).
- Remote Access – VTScada provides remote management of plant operations, onsite network, and even UPS units on Microsoft’s edge.
- Thin client connections all going into Azure to eliminate site server disruptions.
- Resiliency – Redundant servers on-site support ensure mission-critical uptime.
- Enterprise Database – The VTScada Historian synchronizes process data across all servers.
- Load balancing – Microsoft Azure manages server load balancing.
- Additional inherited sites are being brought under the Victory Advisory IT management (all in VTScada, of course)
- Repurposing panel PCs with VTScada to provide edge computing capabilities and additional redundancy.
