Upgrade today to the new general release, V11.1.13
In addition to major software versions, our permanent team of programmers and engineers regularly releases minor service updates with refinements, enhancements, bug fixes and new features. Today, VTScada 11.1.13 goes into general release and is available to all customers with up-to-date support contracts. A few of the new features included are listed below:
Dynamically Set Tag Parameter Values
Any tag property can now be generated as needed by a preconfigured expression.
Enhanced Tag Selection Options in the Idea Studio
To make it even easier to sort and edit the tags used on a particular page, the Tag Links Panel in the Idea Studio can now display all tags referenced by the page, or only those from selected widgets.
New String IO Tag Type and Associated Widgets
A new tag type, String I/O, has been added specifically for reading and writing strings to and from a driver. This tag type also comes with two new string output widgets: StringEntry – an edit box to write out custom strings; and StringDroplist – a droplist control for writing user-configured string values based on the user’s selection.
Improved Notes and String Viewing in the HDV
Encrypted notes that can be added from the Historical Data Viewer (HDV) and logged string data are now more seamlessly blended into the timeline for more intuitive viewing.
PLC and RTU Support Enhancements
Support for TBox RTU Sample tables has been added to the VTScada Modicon Driver.
The Multismart Station tag now supports General Faults 1 – 10.
Support for Koyo Address mapping has been added to the Modicon Driver.
DNP3 output objects g12 (CROB) and g41 (Analog Outputs) can now use Select before Operate commands.
More Reporting Output Options
The “Formatted Excel File” option on the Reports page now defaults to the .xlsx file format, if available, which supports 16,383 columns (.xls format only supports 255).
Other Enhancements
- New Calculation tags will now be logged by default with no Logger tag necessary.

- Container (parent) tags can now specify which of their children gets listed in the Sites page.
- Folder widget now allows custom code to programmatically control the selected folder tab.
- Container tags such as Context, PollDriver and custom tag types can now draw a Site Alarm List widget which is pre-filtered to show the alarms that belong to the descendants of the container.
- Common “Show Comm” and “Show Stats” dialogs have been developed for VTScada drivers. Driver developers no longer have to create their own dialogs.
- A new SortArray function has been added, which rapidly sorts vectors of records based onn one or more keys that can be distributed across the records.
